Hello, I’m Kylie Luong!

I’m a painter and a digital illustrator with a focus in anime art. Anime and manga films and stories have been a constant companion in my life since middle school and were the spring board to beginning my journey as an artist. I’m drawn to how small moments become monumental to the overall story in many of these series. Wind blowing through a character’s hair at a certain time has the power to become a major plot point, or ants eating a dragonfly can transform into an ominous symbol. I seek to capture these seemingly ordinary moments and highlight their magical, extraordinary nature using tools like saturated color and expressive brushstrokes.
